That won't happen with the Cub ownership.

Give him credit for 2 World Series wins, but the fact it was with a team that had not won in years, has more to do with the team he took over and the money he could spend than his abilities as a general manager.Mr. Baseballnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8458433186867121068.post-1462425990031774452012-07-05T16:48:08.088-05:002012-07-05T16:48:08.088-05:00I figured a post about the Cubs would bring you ou...I figured a post about the Cubs would bring you out to comment. So thank you for that. You may have a point in there somewhere regarding the plan of others in regards to rebuilding processes. Sooner or later you have to try something different as an organization. I am not in the boat that believes this is a "can't miss" plan. It could go horribly wrong and it wouldn't shock me. I do want to put faith in their vision and hope for the best.Maxeymum Sportsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8458433186867121068.post-5001819630827983952012-07-05T14:28:57.859-05:002012-07-05T14:28:57.859-05:00Unfortunately, for the Cubs, their plan is the sam...Unfortunately, for the Cubs, their plan is the same plan that other teams such as Kansas City, Houston and others have: dump good Major League players with high salaries, trade for prospects, and hope things work out. Sometimes, they do, but mostly they do not.

The big difference with the Cubs is that somehow they have convinced their fans that this is a plan that can’t miss. So, Cub fans keep paying to watch their team lose, the Ricketts’ family gets richer and the Cubs remain, well the Cubs.Eleven Ringsnoreply@blogger.com
